Angela Davis: Abolition Democracy and Global Politics

Angela Davis, a noted activist during the 1960s, was at one time on the FBI's Most Wanted List and eventually spent 18 months in jail and on trial. Since well before the publication of her feminist classic Women, Race, and Class in 1981, she has been concerned about the interconnections among issues, as well as the connections among peoples around the world. In "Abolition Democracy and Global Politics" Davis will present a new and wide-ranging vision influenced by W.E.B. DuBois's "Black Reconstruction."
